Firefighters have rescued a man from a riverbank in Dunmurry<\/p>\n

A man has been transported to the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) after falling being rescued from a riverbank in Dunmurry.<\/p>\n

The NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) received a 999 call at 3:35pm following reports of a person requiring assistance in the Kingsway area of Dunmurry.<\/p>\n

NIAS despatched an Emergency Crew and a HART crew to the incident.<\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) was contacted by NIAS to provide assistance to a man who had \u201cfallen down\u201d a riverbank.<\/p>\n

One appliance was sent from Lisburn and a specialist rescue team.<\/p>\n

The man was then \u201cextricated\u201d from the riverbank by NIFRS and handed over to the care of NIAS.<\/p>\n
