Jules is an American living in Britain who shares content about her British husband Tom and their family on their <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@peachyfamilyuk\/video\/7523262500045917462?_r=1&amp;_t=ZN-8xnN67Ifw98\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@peachyfamilyuk<\/a> TikTok channel.<\/p>\n<p>They often highlight surprising <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/travel\/articles\/1962085\/american-tourists-baffled-english-breakfast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cultural differences<\/a> between Britain and the US and have built a massive audience with 81k followers on the platform. Jules shared a <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@peachyfamilyuk\/video\/7523262500045917462?_r=1&amp;_t=ZN-8xnN67Ifw98\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">video<\/a> of her mum during a visit to the Canal Tearoom &amp; Garden in Tiverton, Devon, as she had a lunch of crisps, sandwiches, and a salad. Her mum appeared surprised by the presence of &#8220;shredded&#8221; cheese in the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/life-style\/food\/2072037\/i-made-best-sandwich-ever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sandwiches<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jules asked her mum if she noticed there was no mayo on the sarnies, explaining that Brits &#8220;put butter on their sandwiches&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Jules&#8217; mum said she preferred mayo, after which Jules said when she makes a sandwich for Tom he &#8220;wants me to put butter, then mayo&#8221;, which raised eyebrows again.<\/p>\n<p>Both laughed as Jules admitted &#8220;I never do&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>But the one thing that astounded the American mum the most was the fact the salad was &#8220;dry&#8221; &#8211; and without any ranch salad dressing.<\/p>\n<p>An American tourist told <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/travel\/articles\/1962085\/american-tourists-baffled-english-breakfast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express.co.uk last year about another thing that struck them about British food<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Adam and Steph, from Boston, Massachusetts visited the Cotswolds and we asked them about anything that surprised them about British life.<\/p>\n<p>Steph joked: &#8220;We have been to Britain quite a few times. I have been pondering the toast. Why is there so much toast everywhere?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They travelled throughout the Cotswolds in the summer of 2024 and said they love the countryside and walking opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in Chipping Campden, Adam said: &#8220;It is lovely here, and excellent mud!
