Jordan Spieth has been there and done it all on the PGA Tour, but he certainly won\u2019t want to be finished just yet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spieth once reached number one in the world rankings, and won three major championships between 2015 and 2017.<\/p>\n

The PGA Championship has remained elusive thus far for Spieth, who has 13 career wins on the PGA Tour<\/a> in total.<\/p>\n

But the American last won at the RBC Heritage back in 2022, while he is currently sidelined from action with injury.<\/p>\n

Spieth withdrew during the Travelers Championship<\/a> last month, representing the first withdrawal of his career.<\/p>\n

He was, however, gaining some form of momentum before then, with four top 10 finishes to his name this season.<\/p>\n

Spieth says his putting is a \u2018work in progress\u2019<\/a> at this moment in time, with the American having shared insight into that part of his game back for MentalityGolf in 2023.<\/p>\n

Teaching golfers how to lag putt, he said: \u201cSpeed putting is extremely important. When we are presented with a putt like this which is about 50 feet up a ridge, it is vital you can get it in in two shots.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important thing here is not trying to figure out the technique or the line. It\u2019s about finding the speed.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to walk along the entire length of the putt, along the low side to the back side of the hole and I\u2019ll walk back along the low side.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I\u2019ll see is that there is two ridges here that I have to go up and then it is flat at the hole. Now I am dialled into essentially what I am trying to do is hit a flat putt about 10 feet beyond the hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am finding a midpoint in my line, it is just kind of a vague spot that I am aimed at, but most importantly I am dealing in a speed to where I am trying to get it anywhere within a three foot circle of that hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I am standing back and what I like to do is take practice strokes while I look at the hole, and that kind of gets me dialled in with the speed, so I am looking at this putt and in the back of my mind I\u2019m saying this is about as hard as I need to hit it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen I am stepping back, picking my spot, step back over it and get into my basic position and feel the speed.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Having undergone wrist surgery last August, Spieth can certainly be forgiven for not reaching the stunning heights he once reached in his career.<\/p>\n

And at the same time, he deserves huge praise for fighting his way back to fitness and producing some impressive golf.<\/p>\n

His progress has, however, been disrupted by a neck injury, which forced him out of the Travelers Championship when he was through 12 holes.<\/p>\n
