Manchester United are looking at potential goalkeeping additions this summer and may be interested in West Ham United\u2019s current business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s<\/a> focus may be on attacking signings right now, but Ruben Amorim<\/a> will weigh up another goalkeeper addition as well.<\/p>\n

Andre Onana<\/a> currently looks likely to stay as United\u2019s first-choice goalkeeper despite another disappointing season.<\/p>\n

Altay Bayindir is expected to leave United<\/a>, though, and that means United will need to find another goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

United may be tempted to sign a younger goalkeeper who can compete with Onana at first, before then taking over as first-choice stopper down the line.<\/p>\n

United will have young stoppers on the summer wish list and Parma\u2019s Zion Suzuki<\/a> is bound to be one of them.<\/p>\n

Suzuki was believed to be on United\u2019s radar<\/a> earlier this year, with reports suggesting that Ruben Amorim fancied the Japanese stopper for a summer move.<\/p>\n

Those reports added that Parma wanted \u00a345million for Suzuki this summer, a price United may not have been interested in paying for a second-choice stopper.<\/p>\n

West Ham United have now tried their luck with a move for Suzuki, but have been sent packing by Parma.<\/p>\n

As reported by Parma Live<\/a>, West Ham have offered \u20ac25million (\u00a321.5million), which Parma have rejected.<\/p>\n

The Hammers seemingly view Suzuki as the long-term heir to Alphonse Areola, but will have to come up with a better offer to secure a deal.<\/p>\n

That offer is not even half of the rumoured \u00a345million asking price, so the Hammers are a long way away from an agreement.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s long-term interest in Zion Suzuki unlikely to disappear<\/strong><\/p>\n

Suzuki\u2019s name will not be a new one for many United supporters.<\/p>\n

Reports from Japan in the summer of 2023 suggested that United were set to sign Suzuki<\/a> from Urawa Red Diamonds.<\/p>\n

Instead, Suzuki rejected the move to United<\/a> and instead headed to Belgium with Sint-Truiden.<\/p>\n

Rather than sit on the bench at United, Suzuki tested himself with regular first-team action in Europe.<\/p>\n

That certainly aided Suzuki\u2019s development and his stock is on the rise after just one year at Parma.<\/p>\n
