Drury joins the Bees having spent the last six months as assistant coach at La Liga club Valencia. <\/p>\n<p>Drury began his professional coaching career at Bradford City in 2016. He worked in a variety of roles for the Bantams over the course of six years, including U14s to U16s lead, U18s coach and first-team assistant.<\/p>\n<p>He was named head of coaching and player development with Bradford\u2019s Academy six months before leaving for Manchester United in August 2022. <\/p>\n<p>Drury spent two years as the Red Devils\u2019 U15s lead before joining Carlos Corber\u00e1n\u2019s first-team staff at West Bromwich Albion in August 2024. <\/p>\n<p>Drury was reunited with Corber\u00e1n at Valencia in January this year following the Spaniard\u2019s appointment as head coach. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Brentford head coach Keith Andrews said: <\/strong>\u201cWe are really pleased to get Martin on board. During the interview process he showed a very high level of competency around coaching. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe&#8217;s been on a long journey as a coach and had lots of different experiences, none more so than his most recent job at Valencia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m really looking forward to integrating Martin into what I see as a really talented coaching staff.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Brentford have appointed Martin Drury as assistant first-team coach.
