{"id":245984,"date":"2025-07-07T19:02:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-07T19:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/245984\/"},"modified":"2025-07-07T19:02:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T19:02:09","slug":"former-heavyweight-champion-who-trained-jake-paul-says-he-now-wants-to-fight-him-ill-ko-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/245984\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Heavyweight Champion Who Trained Jake Paul Says He Now Wants To Fight Him: &#8220;I&#8217;ll KO You&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.secondsout.com\/topic\/jake-paul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jake Paul<\/a> claimed the latest win in his boxing career last month.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/boxing\/story\/_\/id\/45607153\/jake-paul-tops-julio-cesar-chavez-jr-improves-12-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018The Problem Child\u2019 defeated former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr<\/a> by unanimous decision at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California to take his professional record to 12-1.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of Paul\u2019s victories have come against ex-MMA fighters, such as Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley, whilst he also claimed a controversial win over former heavyweight king Mike Tyson back in November.<\/p>\n<p>Tyson was 58 at the time and hadn\u2019t competed professionally in nearly two decades, but another former world heavyweight champion has now called out the Youtuber-turned-boxer for a fight.<\/p>\n<p>Shannon Briggs held the WBO heavyweight title from 2006 to 2007, and holds the record for having the most first round knockout wins in history with 37.<\/p>\n<p>Briggs actually trained Paul during the early stages of his career, but that hasn\u2019t stopped \u2018The Cannon\u2019 from calling out his former protege.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Ra-sU9kf-zo?si=9b4-UTdtbJSTtdwZ&amp;t=119\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Speaking to Fight Hub TV<\/a>, Briggs was first asked what he thought of Paul\u2019s clash against Chavez Jr.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cNot much. Chavez really wasn\u2019t throwing no punches. Kinda weird. But Jake Paul\u2019s doing great cause he\u2019s proving that he\u2019s taking it serious. He\u2019s trying really hard to make a name for himself in the game and he has the money behind him, so he\u2019s doing good.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When then asked if Paul could himself hold a belt in the future, Briggs was not convinced, and the knockout artist from Brooklyn revealed he\u2019d be willing to take on \u2018The Problem Child.\u2019<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ll knock Jake Paul out, and I\u2019m 53,000 years old. I\u2019m the oldest man in the history of the planet and I\u2019ll knock him out cold. In regards to him fighting for a title, who he gonna fight? \u2026 Whoever he fights, good luck.
