With Emmerdale on our screens a little less this week<\/a> thanks to football, we’re taking the chance to look further ahead for all you spoiler fanatics.<\/p>\n

The first half of 2025 has featured some explosive storylines, from the spectacular limo crash<\/a> to John Sugden’s sinister hero complex<\/a>, but there’s plenty more to come over the next few weeks and months.<\/p>\n

Here are the main stories ahead.<\/p>\n

1. Vinny and Gabby’s wedding\"vinny<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Vinny and Gabby are due to head down the aisle in the coming weeks, although it’s anyone’s guess whether they’ll make it that far.<\/p>\n

Viewers have seen Vinny wrestle with doubts over his future with Gabby \u2013 a situation which escalates this week when Laurel gives him some home truths<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vinny’s recent attempt to kiss new friend Kammy<\/a> has thrown him into turmoil, leaving him questioning everything.<\/p>\n

But when Gabby is rushed to hospital<\/a> after a worrying accident this week, will Vinny bury his doubts and plough ahead with the wedding planning?<\/p>\n

2. Bernice returns\"bernice<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Although not yet confirmed by Emmerdale bosses, Samantha Giles is expected to reappear on our screens as Bernice Blackstock in the coming weeks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last month, tabloid reports suggested that Bernice will be among the guests at Gabby and Vinny’s upcoming wedding.<\/p>\n

It makes sense that Bernice would want to support her daughter’s happy day, but let’s hope that her chaotic presence doesn’t cause more harm than good!<\/p>\n

3. Huge plans for Robert Sugden\"ryan<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Emmerdale star Ryan Hawley recently promised an exciting future for his character Robert Sugden following his big return to the village<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Robert is currently taking centre stage amid his big feud with his half-brother John, who fans know is a secret killer. The stage is set for a gripping few months, as Robert hopes to bring John down.<\/p>\n

Speaking on ITV1’s Lorraine<\/a> in May, Ryan teased: “It’s such a good year going forward. I know \u2013 kind of towards the end of the year, I’ve been told.<\/p>\n

“I’m honestly so excited [over] where the show’s going. It just feels like a great time to be involved in it.”<\/p>\n

Asked whether Robert could cause John’s downfall, he replied: “Well, we hope that’s going to happen. But will it? I can’t really give anything away in that sense, but there’s a lot of obstacles that Robert has to overcome before that’s going to happen.”<\/p>\n

4. Sarah’s baby drama\"sarah<\/p>\n

Sarah Sugden’s desire to become a mother<\/a> has been a central story on Emmerdale this year \u2013 and the drama in this particular storyline is just getting started.<\/p>\n

After complications during surgery to treat her cancer<\/a>, Sarah underwent an emergency hysterectomy<\/a> and was devastated to learn that she’d never be able to carry a child.<\/p>\n

However, this week’s episodes see Sarah’s grandfather Cain suggest that she should look into surrogacy<\/a>, which opens a whole new chapter of the story\u2026<\/p>\n

5. Dylan returns\"marlon,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

April Windsor’s friend Dylan Penders, who befriended her when she was living on the streets<\/a>, will be returning to the village soon.<\/p>\n

Show producer Laura Shaw announced this news at an Emmerdale press event earlier this year, revealing that the character would be reintroduced by popular demand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s going to be bringing his past back to the village with him. And that\u2019s going to cause huge problems for April and the wider family there,” Shaw told us. <\/p>\n

6. Ray’s dark storyline\"ray,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Ray, the drug dealer who recently turned up to buy Lewis Barton’s weed stash<\/a>, will be reappearing soon.<\/p>\n

Former EastEnders<\/a> star Joe Absolom, who’s taken on the role, has confirmed that the show will be exploring County Lines drug dealing in a new plot.<\/p>\n

County Lines refers to gangs from big cities, who target young people and vulnerable adults to sell their drugs in smaller towns and villages.<\/p>\n

In the coming weeks, it seems that Ray will convince Dylan to start doing his bidding \u2013 in a storyline which also draws in April.<\/p>\n

Joe told us:<\/a> “I think he’s very small time crook. But when you’re paying a child cash, it’s never a good look. So I think his intentions are bad, at the minute.”<\/p>\n

7. Bear’s return\"kammy,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, fans haven’t seen the last of Bear Wolf after he left the village under a cloud recently<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following tensions with son Paddy at home, Bear made out that he was leaving to stay with a friend \u2013 but the harsh reality was that he had nowhere to go.<\/p>\n

“The character of Bear, we’ve got a big storyline coming up for him,” producer Laura Shaw said recently<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“He’s going to go off screen for a little while, he’s going to go missing. And when he comes back, what you’ll see is a very different Bear in a really different situation.<\/p>\n

“We’re all going to be watching and going, ‘What the hell has happened here?’ That’s going to be really exciting.”<\/p>\n

8. Celia vs Kim\"new<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Emmerdale newcomer Jaye Griffiths has confirmed that her fearsome character Celia Daniels will go head-to-head with Kim Tate<\/a> in upcoming scenes. It was only ever a matter of time!<\/p>\n

Jaye has also promised fans that there’s more to Celia than just terrorising everyone \u2013 she’ll show a softer side eventually<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

9. Kim’s new romance\"kim,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Kim Tate has recently been full of praise when chatting about her new man Eddie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It appears that Eddie has brought some happiness to Kim’s life following the death of her husband Will<\/a> last Christmas, although the relationship has been taking place off camera so far.<\/p>\n

Surely it’s only a matter of time before we get to meet the mysterious Eddie for ourselves?<\/p>\n

10. Changes at the caf\u00e9\"nicola<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Breath-of-fresh-air Lewis Barton will cement his place in the village this week when he offers to help Nicola King at the caf\u00e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Short-staffed Nicola is grateful for the extra pair of hands and offers Lewis a permanent job when he’s a hit with the customers \u2013 but could he get a little too popular for her liking?<\/p>\n

11. Kammy’s past explored\"kammy,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Shebz Miah, another popular Emmerdale newcomer, recently spoke<\/a> about plans to explore the backstory of his character Kammy Hadiq.<\/p>\n

“That’s going to be very, very interesting for the fans. We’re slowly building up to that story of: ‘What is Kammy even doing here? Where does he come from?’ Because at the moment it is unknown,” Shebz enthused.<\/p>\n

“What the producers and the writers are doing amazingly is that we are building that suspense. Fingers crossed there will be a point where we start to dive into the deeper stuff because it’s Emmerdale, right? You do need a bit of juiciness and something gripping.<\/p>\n

“With Kammy, there’ll certainly be something but I think we’re just playing with it for now. Eventually that will happen and I can’t wait to get my teeth sunk into something like that.”<\/p>\n
