{"id":246709,"date":"2025-07-08T01:18:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T01:18:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/246709\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T01:18:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T01:18:16","slug":"chapter-2-unveils-a-new-poster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/246709\/","title":{"rendered":"Chapter 2 unveils a new poster"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Director\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001317\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Renny Harlin<\/a>\u00a0shot an entire trilogy of\u00a0Strangers\u00a0movies at the same time, and while there was a point when it looked like Lionsgate might be releasing all three of the movies within 2024, that idea was clearly pushed aside.\u00a0The Strangers: Chapter 1\u00a0(read our review\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.joblo.com\/the-strangers-chapter-1-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a>) reached theatres back in May of 2024, and\u00a0The Strangers: Chapter 2\u00a0won\u2019t be reaching theatres until\u00a0<strong>September 26, 2025<\/strong>. A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/h3ASOZUhlLA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teaser trailer<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Chapter 2\u00a0dropped online eight months ago,\u00a0with the full trailer (embedded above) following a couple of weeks ago. Over the holiday weekend \u2013 on July 4th, to be exact \u2013 a new poster for the film was unveiled, and now you can check it out at the bottom of this article.<\/p>\n<p>Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale)\u00a0has the lead role in this trilogy\u00a0and is joined in the cast of the films by Froy Gutierrez (Cruel Summer), Rachel Shenton\u00a0(All Creatures Great and Small), Gabriel Basso (Hillbilly Elegy), and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.joblo.com\/tag\/ema-horvath\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ema Horvath<\/a>\u00a0(The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power).\u00a0The Strangers: Chapter 1\u00a0centers on Petsch\u2019s character as\u00a0she drives cross-country with her longtime boyfriend (Gutierrez) to begin a new life in the Pacific Northwest. When their car breaks down in Venus, Oregon, they\u2019re forced to spend the night in a secluded Airbnb, where they are terrorized from dusk till dawn by three masked strangers. Lionsgate plans from there to expanding the story in new and unexpected ways with its sequels. Now, we\u2019re on to the next chapter.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0new\u00a0Strangers\u00a0trilogy was filmed in Slovakia. Courtney Solomon produced them with Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Charlie Dombeck, and Alastair Birlingham. Andrei Boncea, Dorothy Canton, and Roy Lee serve as executive producers. Rafaella Biscayn, Frame Film SK, Johanna Harlin, Juan Garcia Peredo, and Alberto Burgueno are co-producing.\u00a0The first film earned an R rating for \u201chorror violence, language and brief drug use.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harlin has said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.joblo.com\/the-strangers-chapter-1-red-carpet-interviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Strangers:\u00a0Chapter 1<\/a>\u00a0\u201cis close to the original movie in its set-up of a young couple in an isolated environment in a house and a home invasion happening for random reasons.\u201d Then\u00a0Chapter 2\u00a0and\u00a0Chapter 3\u00a0\u201cexplore what happens to the victims of this kind of violence and who the perpetrators are of this kind of violence.
