Mersey Ferries has issued a statement after all services were suspended. There are currently no services running this morning Tuesday, July 8 due to a “technical fault”, according to the travel service’s website.<\/p>\n

In a statement on its social media pages, it said the “team are working hard to return to normal service”. Services were also cancelled on Monday just before 4pm and a replacement bus service operated between Seacombe and Hamilton Square during commuter times. No bus replacement is in place this morning, however cross river tickets can be used on Merseyrail<\/a> trains between James Street and Hamilton Square.<\/p>\n

Mersey Ferries apologised for the inconvenience. The team, which is part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority<\/a>, said: “@merseyferries<\/a> are currently suspended. The team are working hard to return to normal service.<\/p>\n

“Cross river tickets can be used on @merseyrail<\/a> between James Street and Hamilton Square. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. No bus replacement.”<\/p>\n

On its website, Mersey Ferries said there will be more updates to follow. The full statement on the website said: “Mersey Ferries are currently suspended due to a technical fault.<\/p>\n

“The team are working hard to return to normal service. In the interim, cross river tickets can be used on Merseyrail between James Street and Hamilton Square.<\/p>\n

“No bus replacement during commuter service. Updates to follow.”<\/p>\n

The commuter ferry service operates each weekday between the Liverpool Gerry Marsden ferry terminal at the Pier Head and Seacombe in Wirral<\/a>.<\/p>\n
