Liverpool<\/a> have named their asking price for Darwin Nunez<\/a> in a move that could result in a major financial loss to the Reds, according to a report.<\/p>\n

Nunez joined Liverpool in an \u00a385million then-club record transfer three years ago but he appears ready to leave the Premier League<\/a> champions after taking on a bit-part role under Arne Slot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old bagged five goals and three assists in the Premier League last season as Liverpool romped to victory but only started on eight occasions.<\/p>\n

He appears likely to move on from Anfield this summer and Napoli, Atletico Madrid<\/a> and Al-Hilal have all turned their attention to the Uruguayan.<\/p>\n

Antonio Conte<\/a>‘s side are keen to bolster their attack as they look to reduce their reliance on Romelu Lukaku<\/a> and challenge for a second consecutive Serie A<\/a> title and in the latter stages of the Champions League<\/a> next season.<\/p>\n

Any move, though, could result in a major financial hit for Liverpool, with Gianluca Di Marzio<\/a> reporting that the Reds have told Napoli that their asking price for Nunez is \u00a343.2m plus \u00a34.3m in bonuses.<\/p>\n

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly taken to personally conducting transfer negotiations<\/a> for Nunez as the Italian champions look to seal a deal.<\/p>\n

According to Corriere dello Sport<\/a>,\u00a0De Laurentiis has been personally speaking to Fali Ramadani, who is brokering the deal.<\/p>\n

Napoli do, though, reportedly have an alternative to Nunez on the cards. Udinese’s Lorenzo Lucca is also thought to be on the club’s shortlist, but it’s thought the 24-year-old Italy international would cost \u00a334m himself.<\/p>\n

Napoli are, however, retaining their interest in Nunez, and must decide if they are willing to pay extra to sign him instead of Lucca.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If Nunez were to complete a move to Napoli he would link up with a number of ex-Premier League stars.<\/p>\n

Former Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay won Serie A Player of the Season in May, while he lines up with Scotland team-mate and ex-Chelsea Billy Gilmour.<\/p>\n

Kevin De Bryune completed a move to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium last month and Rasmus Hojlund and Trevoh Chalobah have also been linked with the club.<\/p>\n
