A sequel to F1 movie with Brad Pitt?<\/p>\n
Variety report that Apple are already considering a sequel.<\/p>\n
Pitt wants fellow superstar Cruise to star alongside him – but after their previous failure, he isn\u2019t optimistic.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I\u2019m not sure how that\u2019s going to work,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we\u2019ll give it a go. I\u2019d love to.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pitt made it clear that he is open to a second F1 film although it isn\u2019t clear what\u2019s next for his character Sonny Hayes.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would want to drive again, selfishly speaking,\u201d Pitt said.<\/p>\n
\u201cF1 is still the focus. It needs to be on Joshua Pierce \u2013 Damson Idris\u2019s character \u2013 and the rest of the team fighting for a championship.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere does Sonny fit in? I\u2019m not sure. Sonny\u2019s probably out on the Bonneville Salt Flats, setting speed records or something like that. So I\u2019m not sure beyond that, just yet.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight now, I\u2019m just pleased as punch that something like this can bring people together. That\u2019s the power of this kind of cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hamilton was asked about a sequel to the movie.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWe literally just finished it, so I think the last thing we want right now is a sequel.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt’s been four years in the making. It was a lot of work, particularly for Joe. It’s time away from your family, it’s time away from your kids.<\/p>\n
“Also, you just need this to just simmer for a while, just enjoy it. I think the worst thing we probably could do is to rush into doing a sequel.<\/p>\n
“Most sequels are way worse, and so we don’t need to rush it. I think if we do do a sequel. I would say let’s really, really take our time in getting it even better than [the first part].\u201d<\/p>\n
