Leeds United are keeping a close eye on Beto\u2019s situation at Everton after David Moyes\u2019 side agreed a deal to sign Thierno Barry from Villarreal.<\/strong><\/p>\n That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that Moyes is set to make a decision about the 27-year-old\u2019s future.<\/p>\n Reports have revealed Barry is expected on Merseyside for a medical, while the Toffees are believed to be considering signing another striker following his arrival.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 5 July that Everton are interested in Millwall star Mihailo Ivanovic<\/a> and could compete with the likes of Wolves and Lazio for his signature.<\/p>\n As a result, there is a growing feeling that Beto could be allowed to leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, placing a number of interested clubs on alert.<\/p>\n This comes after Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> in May that Beto is on Leeds\u2019 shortlist of strikers<\/a> as they aim to bolster Daniel Farke\u2019s squad with attacking reinforcements.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Beto<\/a>\u00a0in a bid to raise funds which would be reinvested into the playing squad.<\/p>\n Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Leeds are prepared to make an offer should the forward become available.<\/p>\n \u201cTo be perfectly honest, I\u2019ve never thought Beto was good enough,\u201d he told Football Insider.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cEverton are pushing ahead with signing a new striker, so it looks like they might share that view.<\/p>\n \u201cObviously, they\u2019ve lost Calvert-Lewin, but from what I hear the new striker is going to go straight into the starting XI which would push Beto out.<\/p>\n \u201cOne team who we have spoken about before looking at Beto is Leeds.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know they want to sign a new striker and he\u2019s one of the names on their radar.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ll be keeping a close eye on things at Everton and I\u2019m sure if he becomes available they\u2019ll be interested in bringing him in.\u201d<\/p>\n Alongside their ambitions to strengthen up front, Leeds have also set their sights on a new goalkeeper as they aim to upgrade on the error-prone Illan Meslier.<\/p>\n Brown told Football Insider<\/strong> on 8 July that Sunderland have joined Leeds\u2019 interest in Sam Johnstone<\/a>, who would be interested in leaving Wolves this summer.<\/p>\n The goalkeeper made just seven Premier League appearances at Molineux after his \u00a310million move from Crystal Palace last year.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, former Leeds
