Peter Andre’s wife, Emily MacDonagh, has spoken out about being stepmum to the singer’s two kids he shares with Katie Price: Junior and Princess<\/p>\n

Peter Andre’s wife, Emily MacDonagh<\/a>, has broken her silence after Katie Price’s raging rant about Princess’ birthday. Last week, the Pricey, 47, lashed out at her ex, Pete<\/a>, and his management for allegedly not allowing her to go to her daughter’s 18th party.<\/p>\n

Speaking to her sister, Sophie, on their podcast on Princess’ big day, she said of her daughter’s new reality TV show: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess<\/a> to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”<\/p>\n

Princess’ stepmum, Emily, who shares three kids with Pete, never speaks out about Katie and rarely mentions her stepchildren publicly. However, she’s now broken her silence after the glamour icon’s rant in a candid chat with Giovanna Fletcher<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Emily says she knows she’s not Princess and Junior’s mum, so instead tries to be “more like a big sister”.<\/p>\n

She said “I always feel like, you know, I’m not their mum, and that’s something I always have to make sure I tread carefully with. I always see it, I think I would see it a bit more like being a big sister.”<\/p>\n

Emily continued: “I don’t know if that’s the right way to look at it, but I think, you know, I always try and give them guidance, but I wouldn\u2019t overstep that. I obviously try and support them like I would do with my own kids.<\/p>\n

“I always try and be the same. I\u2019m quite strict though, on my kids. That’s what I would say to the older kids -it’s lucky there’s an age gap, you know? Because then you guys don\u2019t need to worry about, like, silly rules I have – screen time and stuff like that. I\u2019m like, you guys can be exempt because you’re older. The age gap is enough that my kids don\u2019t ask the question, ‘Well, why are they allowed to have the screens?\u201d’<\/p>\n

Katie was not happy last week when she complained she’d been unfairly treated over her daughter, Princess. Kicking off her podcast with a birthday wish for <\/a>her eldest daughter, the OnlyFans<\/a> star stated: “Princess is now officially an adult so mummy and Princess can now go out together. If certain people would let her be seen with me.<\/p>\n

“Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it. Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess<\/a> to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.”<\/p>\n

“You aren’t on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that’s why,” her sister retorted. “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother,” Katie snapped back.<\/p>\n

“It’s so sad,” she lamented. “When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after…” Katie was then cut off by sister Sophie who encouraged her to “save it for another day.”<\/p>\n
