Rangers boss Russell Martin has refused to rule out a move for free agent Jamie Vardy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The evergreen striker, who left Leicester City<\/a> at the end of last season after 13 years at the club, has been linked with a move to Championship new boys Wrexham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old netted 145 Premier League<\/a> goals for the Foxes but could do little to stop Midlands side slipping into second tier for the second time in three years.<\/p>\n

Rangers<\/a> are the latest name to be linked with a move for the ex-England international and Martin remained coy on his attempts to bolster his attack this summer.<\/p>\n

“I think I’ve been asked about so many players,” he said following a pre-season friendly against Club Brugge.<\/p>\n

“Some miles away, some on the money. So, basically, I’m not going to give you an answer on that. But I guess you’ll find out who’s real and who’s not in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Wrexham\u2019s interest in Vardy has been apparent since the end of last season.<\/p>\n

Vardy knows his way around the Championship and would be a welcome addition for the Welsh club.<\/p>\n

It would, however, mean Vardy would make a quick return to the King Power Stadium when Wrexham travel to Leicester in September.<\/p>\n

The Premier League title winner could opt to try his hand outside of English football which would boost Rangers\u2019 hopes of landing him.<\/p>\n

However, both Rangers and Wrexham could face competition for the star\u2019s signature with Serie A side Genoa in contention, according to reports in Italy.<\/p>\n

Genoa sporting director, Flavio Ricciardella, is reportedly keen on bringing Vardy to Italy but boss Patrick Vieira<\/a> reportedly vetoed the move.<\/p>\n

Vardy remains in no doubt that he can still cut it at the highest level following his most recent top-flight spell with Leicester.<\/p>\n

“You never know what’s going to happen. I’ll keep going until my legs tell me I need to stop. My legs are fine. I’m doing a sport that I love, it’s what I’ve done since I was a little kid so long may that continue,\u201d he told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

“You can speak to my family and they’ll all say I’m emotionless,\u201d he sid about his career at Leicester. \u201cIt might do at the end of the game or whatever, but until that happens, I’m literally just focused on the game.<\/p>\n

“You don’t get a chance to look back on it. It’s about seeing out the season with momentum to start next season. I keep saying it and it’s weird, but you don’t get a chance to look back on it. Because you’re in it, the season finishes, you shut off completely.<\/p>\n

“Mentally and physically, it’s a killer. It does you in. So by the time you’ve then had your couple of weeks to switch off, you’re then back in, getting ready for the new season. So it just keeps rolling into one.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Vardy has shown he has lost none of his appetite whilst training ahead of the new season.<\/p>\n

The striker has posted a series of clips to his Instagram account of his rigorous training sessions as he puts himself in the shop window for potential suitors.<\/p>\n

One video shows him receiving the ball on the half-turn before firing a thunderous effort into the top corner.<\/p>\n

He has just three-and-a-half weeks to land himself either a Scottish Premiership or Championship new club if he wants to be available for the opening weekend of the season.<\/p>\n
