A man has been found dead in unexplained circumstances at Edinburgh City Chambers<\/a> as police launch a probe.<\/p>\n Emergency crews raced to the Royal Mile yesterday (Monday July 7) after receiving a report of an unresponsive person inside the building\u2019s customer support hub, reports Edinburgh Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n A man was pronounced dead at the scene<\/a>, with the death being treated as \u2018unexplained\u2019, however the force said the death was \u2018not believed to be suspicious\u2019.<\/p>\n Emergency services were first informed of the incident<\/a> at 9.10am on Monday.<\/p>\n Edinburgh Council\u2019s<\/a> website is encouraging residents to use the city\u2019s other customer support offices, which you can find details of here, or access council services online where possible.<\/p>\n A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cAround 9.10am on Monday, 7 July, we received a report of an unresponsive person at a premises on High Street, Edinburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cEmergency services attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe death <\/a>is being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.\u201d<\/p>\n Edinburgh Council <\/a>has been contacted for comment.<\/p>\n In May, in a separate incident, we reported that a man was rushed to hospital following an “incident” that forced Edinburgh Sheriff Court <\/a>to close. Mercy crews scrambled to the court in the capital in the morning of May 15.<\/p>\n Images taken from on Chambers Street this morning showed a large group of people and several ambulances gathered as the court was forced to temporarily close, reports Edinburgh Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service<\/a> confirmed that the emergency services dealt with an incident which led to one person being rushed to hospital. After briefly being closed, the court then reopened at around 11am.<\/p>\n The Scottish Ambulance Service <\/a>then said a man was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His condition is not yet known.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: “We received a call today to attend an incident at Edinburgh Sheriff Court<\/a>.<\/p>\n “We dispatched two ambulances<\/a> to the scene and transported one male patient to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.\u201d<\/p>\n A Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service spokesperson said: \u201cThe Court<\/a> was temporarily closed this morning to allow access and movement for emergency services to deal with an incident.<\/p>\n “One person has been taken to hospital.
