{"id":249102,"date":"2025-07-08T22:11:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T22:11:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/249102\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T22:11:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T22:11:12","slug":"wimbledon-2025-gbs-joe-salisbury-and-luisa-stefani-of-brazil-into-mixed-doubles-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/249102\/","title":{"rendered":"Wimbledon 2025: GB&#8217;s Joe Salisbury and Luisa Stefani of Brazil into mixed doubles final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Great Britain&#8217;s Joe Salisbury and Luisa Stefani of Brazil came out on top of a tight semi-final to secure their place in the mixed doubles final at Wimbledon.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The duo upset second seeds Zhang Shuai of China and Salvadoran Marcelo Arevalo 7-6 (8-6) 7-6 (7-4).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Salisbury and Stefani will now face Czech Katerina Siniakova and Sem Verbeek of the Netherlands for the title on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a high quality encounter where both pairs rarely made mistakes, it was Salisbury and Stefani who held their nerve in the tense tie-breaks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It it is the second time Salisbury has reached the Wimbledon mixed doubles final, having done so alongside compatriot Harriet Dart in 2021.
