Sheffield Wednesday forward Djeidi Gassama is closing in on a move to Scottish side Rangers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to the Daily Record<\/a>, reporting that personal terms have been agreed, following The Star<\/a>‘s claims that the Owls<\/a> have agreed broad terms with the Gers over the 21-year-old.<\/p>\n

He impressed last season, notching seven goals in 43 Championship appearances<\/a> under Danny Rohl.<\/p>\n

There had been interest from elsewhere in the Championship, but it appears Rangers have won the race as the Owls battle ongoing financial difficulties.<\/p>\n

Blackburn lost Tyrhys Dolan this summer, and Gassama looked like he has the potential to be a strong replacement, but it seems they have missed the boat on the deal.<\/p>\n

They may look back and regret the time taken to progress their Gassama interest, especially if they don\u2019t land on a secondary target to fill their Dolan vacancy.<\/p>\n
