Avon Fire and Rescue<\/a> Service said it took 30 firefighters to tackle and significant damage was done to the premises.<\/p>\nThe fire is thought to have been set deliberately.<\/p>\n
Avon and Somerset Police are investigating the incident and a teenage boy has been arrested.<\/p>\n
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of arson on Thursday, July 3.<\/p>\n
He has since been released under investigation.<\/p>\n
Acting Inspector Luke Keenan, of the Bristol East Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: \u201cOur enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we continue to ask for anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n\u201cThere have been several other fires in the surrounding areas in recent times and we are keeping an open mind as to whether any of these incidents are linked.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe attended a productive community meeting at the end of June and it proved to be a really useful opportunity for us to explain the work we are carrying out, particularly in terms of high-visibility patrols.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it was also really important we listened to the concerns raised around antisocial behaviour and we are committed to working with the community to reduce these incidents.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope the news of last week\u2019s arrest reassures people in east Bristol that our investigation into the pub fire is progressing.\u201d<\/p>\n
