Filming is already underway for the eleventh and final series of the show and fans need to get ready to say an emotional goodbye. <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/tv\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"The TV showLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The TV show<\/a> was first broadcast in 2014 and soon became a hit with fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Adapted from the Grantchester Mysteries novels by James Runcie, it is set in the Cambridgeshire village of Grantchester during the 1950-60s. <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/tv\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"The first seriesLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The first series<\/a> began over a decade ago when Sidney Chambers (James Norton) decided to become an investigator when a parishioner was murdered under mysterious circumstances. He teamed up with Inspector Geordie to solve various criminal cases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/tv\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"James Norton Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">James Norton <\/a>portrayed the village&#8217;s vicar for the first four seasons before Tom Brittney took over as Will Davenport. He also continues to get to know Meg, the Bishop\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Geordie is more cheerful as he\u2019s enjoying a time of relative peace. Out of the blue, the Chief Superintendent comes to Geordie with a tempting offer and it could be a chance for Geordie to finally be in charge, but it could also mean an end of his crime solving days.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/itv\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">ITV<\/a> said: &#8220;In Series 11 everyone will question the paths they are on, and some huge decisions will be made.
