Rangers have agreed personal terms with Sheffield Wednesday attacker Djeidi Gassama as the winger closes in on a switch to Ibrox.<\/p>\n

It is understood the Light Blues have struck a deal with the player on a four-year deal to become Russell Martin<\/a>‘s latest signing of the summer with just a fee now to be agreed between clubs.<\/p>\n

Reports earlier today suggested Rangers<\/a> had been competing with other sides to land the 21-year-old wide man and now a deal is close with both teams spending the week together at the FA’s St George’s Park training base.<\/p>\n

But now we understand an official move is nearing completion after Gassama said yes to the new era led by Andrew Cavenagh<\/a> and 49ers Enterprises<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gassama hit eight goals in 47 outings last term with just the one assist as the Owls finished 12th in the EFL Championship table.<\/p>\n

It’s understood the playmaker is available for a fee close to \u00a32.5million.<\/p>\n
