Soulwax<\/a> have announced their first new album in seven years, \u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019, with a huge double A-side single. Listen below.<\/p>\n

The Belgian dance-punk outfit, featuring brothers Stephen and David Dewaele, recently began teasing the long-awaited follow-up to 2018\u2019s \u2018Essential\u2019<\/a> with a cryptic billboard in London.<\/p>\n

It has now been confirmed that the new LP will arrive on October 17 via DEEWEE\/Because Music, and you can pre-order\/pre-save it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dewaele brothers (aka 2ManyDJs<\/a>) have described the forthcoming \u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019 as \u201ca rock album made without any electric guitars\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments \u2013 live, loud and loose,\u201d they added in a joint statement. \u201cThis record is the result of that experiment.\u201d<\/p>\n

A press release states: \u201c\u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019 was built entirely from modular synths, live drums, tape machines and processed vocals. It\u2019s a fractured mirror held up to modern society on the brink \u2013 where truth is distorted by filters, algorithms and noise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album is comprised of 14 tracks, including the massive double A-side lead single \u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019\/ \u2018Run Free\u2019.<\/p>\n

The title track begins like a corrupted and distorted transmission, with glitching electronics backing a warning-like message. On \u2018Run Free\u2019, Soulwax present a more driving and euphoric sound \u2013 combining rhythm, escapism and release.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne leans into the energy of a live band, the other into the pulse of the dancefloor \u2013 two sides of the same Soulwax coin,\u201d a description reads. Listen above.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Soulwax debuted the \u2018All Systems Are Lying\u2019 cuts \u2018Hot Like Sahara\u2019, \u2018Idiots In Love\u2019, \u2018New Earth Time\u2019 and \u2018Polaris\u2019<\/a> during their UK and European headline tour \u2013 which boasted an ambitious stage production.<\/p>\n

This year has already seen Soulwax deliver live sets at Kappa Futur in Turin, Italy, and Rock Werchter in Belgium.<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, Soulwax told NME<\/a> that they were \u201ctrying different things out because we don\u2019t want to do the same thing\u201d.
