With filming finally under way on 20th Century Studios’ long-awaited sequel<\/a>\u00a0The Devil Wears Prada 2, seven new actors have joined the cast.<\/p>\n

The original film – based on Lauren Weisberger’s book inspired by her time working under Vogue’s Anna Wintour<\/a> – starred Anne Hathaway<\/a> and Meryl Streep<\/a>, earning $326 million worldwide from just a $35 million budget.<\/p>\n

Fans have been clamoring for a sequel for years, and it’s finally happening, based on Weisberger’s 2013 sequel novel Revenge Wears Prada.<\/a><\/p>\n

Hathaway and Streep are back as Andy Sachs and Miranda Priestly, along with Emily Blunt<\/a> (Emily Charlton) and Stanley Tucci (Nigel Kipling) also reprising their roles.<\/p>\n

Now that production is ongoing, seven new cast members have been announced, with new more actors from the original also reprising their roles.<\/p>\n

Among the new additions for the sequel are one of the stars of Charlie’s Angels, one of the funnymen from The Office and even a connection to reality star Kylie Jenner<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

No details were given for any of the new cast members characters, and they will also join the cast alongside three more newcomers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Broadway actors\u00a0Helen J. Shen (Maybe Happy Ending) and Conrad Ricamora (Oh, Mary!) are also coming aboard with comedian Caleb Hearon, whose characters are also under wraps.<\/p>\n

Two original Devil Wears Prada stars are also returning, with Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman coming back.<\/p>\n

Thoms played Lily, the best friend of Hathaway’s character Andy, and Feldman portrayed Irv Ravitz, the chairman of Elias-Clark, the parent company of the fictional Runway Magazine from the original film.<\/p>\n

No plot details have surfaced yet, and it’s unclear if the sequel will directly follow the novel or not.<\/p>\n

The novel is set a decade after the events of the first book\/movie, with Andy and Emily co-founding a successful bridal magazine called The Plunge.<\/p>\n

Andy is also planning her own wedding, when Miranda Priestly comes back into her life, as she tries to acquire their magazine.<\/p>\n
