A man who used an excessive number of air fresheners to disguise the smell of cannabis has been jailed.<\/a> Filip Stasiuk, 25, was jailed for drugs offences after he was stopped by police<\/a> in Widnes.<\/a><\/p>\n The 25-year-old, of Damwood Road, Liverpool, appeared at court on Monday, July 7, where he was sentenced to 38 months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs at an earlier date.<\/p>\n Liverpool Crown Court heard how on Friday, June 5, 2025, how officers spotted two men acting suspiciously in a silver Chrysler <\/a>on Henderson Road, Widnes<\/a>.<\/p>\n Police <\/a>stopped the car and during a search of the vehicle there was a strong smell of cannabis <\/a>along with an excessive number of air fresheners which appeared to have been placed in the car to help disguise the smell.<\/p>\n Following the discovery, the driver and the passenger, Stasiuk, were both arrested and searched. Stasiuk was found in possession of \u00a3270 cash and an iPhone. During examination of the phone officers recovered messages which showed he was actively involved in the illegal sale of cocaine and cannabis.<\/p>\n He was charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A (Cocaine) <\/a>and being concerned in the supply of Class B (Cannabis) and was remanded into custody.<\/p>\n At the time of his arrest Stasiuk was also on prison licence in relation to a previous County Lines <\/a>investigation whereby he was convicted for drugs supply offences in Macclesfield in 2023. When arrested he was also wanted on warrant in relation to an arson offence.<\/p>\n Following the sentencing, PC Nicholls of Widnes Proactive CID said: \u201cFilip Stasiuk is convicted County Lines drug dealer who made the mistake of believing he could pick up where he left off and once again start dealing illegal drugs in Cheshire.<\/p>\n \u201cHowever, after being spotted by our team in Widnes, Stasiuk was given a frosty reception by our officers and his latest activities were quickly brought to a stop.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope that the sentenced handed to Stasiuk acts as a reminder that Cheshire Police will not tolerate drug dealing on our streets and will seek to target all individuals involved in this type of shameful offending.\u201d<\/p>\n For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news<\/a>.
