Darcy Graham recalled the \u201ccruel\u201d realisation that he would miss out on the British and Irish Lions\u2019 tour of Australia<\/a> as he turns his attention to action with Scotland<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n

Eyebrows were raised when the 28-year-old Edinburgh<\/a> wing was omitted from head coach Andy Farrell\u2019s squad in May, which was announced live on television.<\/p>\n

Graham is fully focused on Scotland and after sitting out last Saturday\u2019s non-cap international victory over Maori All Blacks<\/a> in New Zealand, he is looking forward to Saturday\u2019s Test against Fiji<\/a> in Suva.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, obviously the Lions<\/a> was disappointing, not to get called up,\u201d Scotland\u2019s second highest try scorer told Scottish rugby\u2019s official X account.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were watching with the family, it\u2019s a cruel way to find out.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it was so special seeing the other (Scotland players) in it and they\u2019ve gone out and they\u2019ve been awesome this campaign and hopefully they put their hands up for the Test spot but obviously I am disappointed not to be in.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s fuelling the fire for me. I\u2019ll just cheer, do my job and see what happens after that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite his own disappointment, Graham was delighted that Scotland scrum-half Ben White<\/a> was called up to Farrell\u2019s squad following an injury to Wales\u2019 Tomos Williams.<\/p>\n

White was already in New Zealand<\/a> with the Scotland team when he received the call.<\/p>\n

Graham said: \u201cI\u2019m buzzing for Ben.<\/p>\n

\u201cMe and him were sharing rooms and I know how much he wanted it.
