The first photo taken from the set of Dune: Part Three<\/a><\/strong> has emerged online.<\/p>\n

Production on Dune: Part Three is now officially underway. A sequel to 2021\u2019s Dune<\/a> and 2024\u2019s Dune: Part Two<\/a>, Dune: Part Three will once again be directed by Denis Villeneuve<\/a> and will see Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet reprise his role as Paul Atreides.<\/p>\n

What do we see in the Dune: Part Three set photo?<\/p>\n

The first Dune: Part Three set photo, shared on the official Dune Instagram<\/a> account, takes fans of the franchise back to Arrakis. The image only shows a sandy landscape and a red sky, but it\u2019s enough to get fans excited about the upcoming sci-fi movie.<\/p>\n

Dune: Part Three will be an adaptation of Dune Messiah, the 1969 novel by Frank Herbert. It was previously believed the new film would be titled Dune Messiah; however, it was revealed yesterday that the official title<\/a> is indeed Dune: Part Three.<\/p>\n

In addition to Chalamet, the confirmed cast includes Zendaya as Chani, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima Atreides.<\/p>\n

A description of the Dune Messiah novel reads, \u201cDune Messiah\u00a0continues the story of Paul Atreides, better known\u2014and feared\u2014as the man christened Muad\u2019Dib. As Emperor of the known universe, he possesses more power than a single man was ever meant to wield. Worshipped as a religious icon by the fanatical Fremen, Paul faces the enmity of the political houses he displaced when he assumed the throne\u2014and a conspiracy conducted within his own sphere of influence. And even as House Atreides begins to crumble around him from the machinations of his enemies, the true threat to Paul comes to his lover, Chani, and the unborn heir to his family\u2019s dynasty\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Dune 3<\/a> is expected to be released in United States theaters and IMAX in December 2026 from Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a>. After that, Villeneuve will then make a James Bond movie for Amazon MGM Studios.<\/p>\n
