A BMW driver smashed into the front of a takeaway on the first day it opened in Rochdale<\/a> on Wednesday evening (July 9).<\/p>\n

The car appeared to strike the front of the Miami’s Burgers venue, in Heywood<\/a>, with a number of police vehicles seen in attendance following the collision.<\/p>\n

Yellow and black balloons were seen to have been used to decorate the takeaway as its owners celebrated their first day open for business, having opened at 4pm.<\/p>\n

Pictures from the scene showed the grey BMW, which appeared to have mounted the pavement on Bridge Street before hitting the wall outside the takeaway.<\/p>\n

A number of police cars were seen in attendance having arrived on blue lights, with officers also pictured at the scene.<\/p>\n

Further details surrounding the incident have not yet been confirmed. One witness claimed they saw a woman being arrested at the scene.<\/p>\n

Greater Manchester Police<\/a> and Miami’s Burgers have been approached for a statement.<\/p>\n
