Whiskey producers from across Ireland and Scotland will descend on Belfast later this month for one of the first major drinks events of the city\u2019s 2025 calendar.<\/p>\n

Belfast Whiskey Social will see hundreds of punters and industry insiders gather in the Europa Hotel on April 26 for a celebration of the water of life.<\/p>\n

Some of the biggest names in Irish whiskey will rub shoulders with independent distilleries and bottlers from across the island and from Scotland for the annual event.<\/p>\n

Originally launched in 2016 by Scot Andrew Ure, Belfast Whiskey Social became the city\u2019s first whiskey festival.<\/p>\n

The last event attracted around 900 people.<\/p>\n

His company HarBro Events has launched a number of whiskey and gin festivals in his native Scotland, where Mr Ure has also launched the Wee Whisky Shop, in Linlithgow with his brother David.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking place at the Europa Hotel, we are absolutely thrilled that for the first time, this year\u2019s festival features some incredible Scottish Independent bottlers that have been making waves in the whisky world, including the award-winning Woodrow\u2019s of Edinburgh and Tri Carragh,\u201d said Mr Ure.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeyond the tastings, attendees will be immersed in an atmosphere of tradition, innovation and celebration with the opportunity to meet the people and hear the stories behind the drams and distilleries. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere will also be one masterclass per session where attendees will be expertly guided and can enjoy a much more in depth tasting.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will be split into afternoon (12.30pm-3.30pm) and evening (4.30pm-8pm) sessions.<\/p>\n
