5<\/p>\n Ambika Mod has signed up for Celebrity Bake OffCredit: Getty 5<\/p>\n She rose to prominence in This Is Going To HurtCredit: BBC Press Handout 5<\/p>\n She then shot to super stardom in One DayCredit: \ufffd2022 Netflix, Inc.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old star is currently filming her first massive Hollywood<\/a> film<\/a> with Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Evans and Salma Hayak – Sacrifice, an upcoming\u00a0action adventure\u00a0comedy film.\u00a0<\/p>\n The Sun can exclusively reveal that the hit Channel 4<\/a> show has snapped Ambika up, and she will appear in the upcoming Celebrity<\/a> Bake Off series.<\/p>\n “Bosses were thrilled to sign Ambika up – she\u2019s a fan of the show so loved doing it,” a source told us.<\/p>\n Channel 4<\/a> declined to comment.<\/p>\n Ambika left viewers in floods of tears when she starred in hit Netflix series One Day.<\/p>\n One Day follows\u00a0university<\/a>\u00a0friends, Northern working-class Emma and posh Southern boy Dexter Mayhew, over 20 years.<\/p>\n The series sees the pair revisit their relationship every year on July 15.<\/p>\n Viewers were left in floods of “ugly tears” while watching the 10-part limited series for the first time.<\/p>\n After watching the show, which is based on a novel, fans took to\u00a0X and discussed how they felt about the emotionally charged ending.\u00a0<\/p>\n “Can we talk about the Netflix version of #OneDay now? I’ve never cried so much at a show in my life. I loved every minute,” said one person at the time.<\/p>\n Official trailer for ‘One Day’ on Netflix<\/p>\n “This adaptation is so good already I feel sick #oneday #onedaynetflix,” said another.<\/p>\n While a third wrote: “Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall acted the hell out of their characters good for them. <\/p>\n “You made me cry in an ugly way, but good for them.”<\/p>\n In one interview, Ambika opened up about how she relates to her One Day character Emma.<\/p>\n Ambika Mod’s career so far<\/p>\n AT just 29 years of age, Ambika has a glowing career ahead – but let’s take a brief look at her career so far.<\/p>\n After studying at university, Ambika starred in a series of small films such as Fair Bnb,\u00a0Granddaughter, The Sacrifice (aka Leila Margot)\u00a0and\u00a0Pet Name.<\/p>\n Her breakthrough role then came when she played a starring role in This Is Going To Hurt where she played the role of Shruti Acharya, a struggling junior doctor.<\/p>\n Ambika was then chosen for the 2022\u00a0BAFTA Breakthrough\u00a0cohort and received the\u00a0Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actress for her role in This Is Going To Hurt.<\/p>\n Her next role came as Emma in One Day, alongside Leo Woodall.
