Mystery yellow blobs are appearing on cars, windows and bins in part of Stockport<\/a> – and it\u2019s left people baffled.<\/p>\n

It appears to be liquid landing and drying, leaving markings which keep coming back when cleaned.<\/p>\n

Some suggested it could be bee poo, but there don\u2019t appear to have been any sightings of large swarms.<\/p>\n

hulme<\/a>>Cheadle<\/a> Hulme resident Roy, 78, said that some people are worried it could be harmful.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve been suffering with this problem for about two or three weeks,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve been here for 30-odd years and we\u2019ve never seen it before, we\u2019re all a bit fed up with it.<\/p>\n

“I was worried that it could be air pollution and it could be a health concern. My main concern is if it\u2019s harmful to us, I don\u2019t mind washing the car.”<\/p>\n

Cheadle East and Cheadle Hulme North councillor David Meller posted online about the strange substance in June, after getting several reports from residents.<\/p>\n

“This has probably been the most unusual piece of casework I’ve ever had and, I hope, it isn’t anything more sinister than ‘bee poo’ or digested pollen,\u201d Coun Meller said.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully, it’s just nature doing its thing. However, considering it’s affecting a large area of my ward \u2013 from the Ladybridge estate right over to Cheadle Heath \u2013 and there haven’t been any reports of bee swarms causing this, I am nervous it’s something else. I know residents affected are, too.”<\/p>\n

Stockport council<\/a> has been investigating the reports.<\/p>\n

It confirmed to the Local Democracy Reporting Service that the yellow blobs are being left by insects or bees, and are nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n
