Liverpool have returned for pre-season training as they bid to defend the Premier League<\/a> title. The Reds were back at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby on Tuesday, with three new signings on board.<\/p>\n Florian Wirtz<\/a>, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong have been signed for a combined \u00a3185million, with Liverpool<\/a> looking to strike while the iron is hot after being crowned champions of England. More deals are in the pipeline but departures could be just as significant before the summer transfer window<\/a> closes on Monday, September 1.<\/p>\n Anfield was rocked last week by the passing of Diogo Jota<\/a>. The Reds forward was killed aged 28 in a car crash alongside his brother<\/a>.<\/p>\n His funeral took place over the weekend<\/a>, with members of Liverpool’s squad and manager Arne Slot<\/a> in attendance. Colombian Diaz has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona<\/a> while Bayern Munich<\/a> recently had an approached rebuffed by Liverpool.<\/p>\n The Reds don’t want to sell the 28-year-old winger, whose current deal expires in 2027. Nunez, 26, joined the Reds from Benfica<\/a> in 2022 for a \u00a385m but has failed to live up to his price tag.<\/p>\n That’s not stopped Napoli<\/a> from being interested, though, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis said to be personally overseeing negotiations for the Uruguayan. Despite being an Everton<\/a> player, Branthwaite has been linked with a sensational move to Anfield over the past couple of years.<\/p>\n The 23-year-old centre-back recently signed a new contract with the Toffees which runs until the summer of 2030.
