Leeds United and Everton seem to be linked with a lot of the same players this summer. One of them is Timothy Weah at Juventus whose next club now seems crystal clear.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This summer, Angus Kinnear left Leeds United to join Everton<\/a> and become the Toffees\u2019 new CEO. And it seems as though he\u2019s taken the list of Leeds United transfer targets<\/a> with him, as the two teams are linked with a handful of the same players this summer.<\/p>\n

Names include Vladimir Coufal, James McAtee, and Timothy Weah. Earlier in the summer it was reported that Leeds United are interested in Weah at Juventus<\/a>, where he\u2019s among the several to have fallen out of favour going into this summer.<\/p>\n

The USMNT man, who plays alongside Brenden Aaronson on the international stage, scored five and assisted two more in 30 Serie A games last season. But that\u2019s not been enough to impress manager Igor Tudor.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been suggested that Leeds United and Everton are leading the race to sign Weah<\/a> this summer. But it\u2019s France where the 25-year-old could be headed next, according to journalist Gianni Balzarini.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Italian journalist Gianni Balzarini has revealed that Weah is seemingly close to being sold to Marseille this summer. He says that a move is \u2018close\u2019 and that a \u20ac15million (\u00a312.94million) has been agreed, with Weah set to rake in \u2018around \u20ac2.5million\u2019 every year (\u00a32.16million-a-year, or just over \u00a348,000-a-week).<\/p>\n

Balzarini said: \u201cHe\u2019s very close to selling to De Zerbi at Olympic Marseille for a fee around \u20ac15million. Since he arrived, he hasn\u2019t increased his value\u2026 He\u2019ll earn around \u20ac2.5million net per-year. Marseille would like a loan with an option to buy, which becomes mandatory upon reaching certain objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far this summer Leeds United have signed four new players<\/a>, with Gabriel Gudmundsson arriving at Elland Road<\/a> this week, potentially closely followed by Sean Longstaff at Newcastle United.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

With a deal for Weah now looking unlikely, Daniel Farke<\/a> has already turned his attentions elsewhere, with Leeds United submitting a bid for Jeremie Boga<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reports this week have revealed how Leeds United have made a \u00a313million bid to sign Boga from Nice, who scored once and assisted once more in 21 Ligue 1 outings in the 2024\/25 season.<\/p>\n

And his stats certainly don\u2019t paint a pretty picture: whether or not he\u2019d come in as a starter or as a player more for the future remains to be seen, but someone like Weah with a bit more experience and pedigree might have been preferred, especially given that he was valued at about the same price.<\/p>\n

Leeds<\/a> have already missed out on several targets this summer, with Sunderland the main beneficiary.
