with the palace reportedly thrilled by the public\u2019s enthusiasm over Kate\u2019s return to royal duties<\/a>.<\/p>\nAccording to royal insider Richard Fitzwilliams, the Duke of Sussex feels \u201cexiled\u201dand increasingly role-less amid his ongoing estrangement from the monarchy.<\/p>\n
“(Harry) is in exile,” Mr Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital on Wednesday after Kate and William’s diplomatic triumph.<\/p>\n
“Undoubtedly, he has some regrets.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe appears to have lost touch with many of his friends and, of course, there is the royal rift.”<\/p>\n
It is understood Harry remains estranged from both William and his father King Charles after cashing in on royal secrets in interviews, a Netflix show and his memoir Spare.<\/p>\n
While the Prince and Princess of Wales\u2019 latest appearance offered a glamorous glimpse into their future reign, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have largely fallen out of the headlines.<\/p>\n
The Duchess of Sussex was pencilled in to receive a humanitarian award at a glitzy Los Angeles gala last month, but the event was canned amid violent protests in the city.<\/p>\n
