Prince William<\/a> saw right through Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/a> alleged \u201cplan\u201d of marrying into the royal family through Prince Harry, a royal biographer has sensationally claimed.<\/p>\n

After it was revealed by the late Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s cousin and closest confidante, Lady Elizabeth Anson, that the monarch was apprehensive about Markle\u2019s intentions<\/a>, it appears as though William caught wind of the situation around the same time.<\/p>\n

According to royal biographer and commentator Phil Dampier, the Prince of Wales, 43, was skeptical about the Duchess of Sussex entering the royal fold.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think, unfortunately, that confirms what I\u2019ve been saying or thought for the last few years that, sadly, Meghan never really had any intention of staying in the royal family,\u201d Dampier told the Sun<\/a>, referencing Anson\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe saw as a stepping stone getting married to to Harry to to to new fame and fortune. And I think that\u2019s what initially Prince William was concerned about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s why they fell out. And now we are where we are. But to have this confirmed by somebody so close to the Queen is, is is really dynamite,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Dampier said that the information, which had come \u201cright from the horse\u2019s mouth,\u201d was \u201cvery, very telling\u201d \u2014 adding that the comments made by Anson, who died in 2020 at age 79, were to be trusted.<\/p>\n

According to a royal biographer, the Prince of Wales, 43, was skeptical about the Duchess of Sussex entering the royal fold. AP<\/p>\n

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle in May 2018. AP<\/p>\n

Fellow royal expert echoed Dampier\u2019s comments, saying there was a strong \u201cthread of commonality\u201d about the \u201cSuits\u201d alum at the time.<\/p>\n

She added that Prince Harry is \u201ctotally whipped\u201d<\/a> by his wife, and that King Charles is fully aware of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know that\u00a0King Charles\u00a0said something about him being whipped,\u201d Krakue said. \u201cWe keep hearing things consistently coming out from courtiers and people that are close to the royal family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Krakue added that while the late queen\u2019s opinion of Markle had been positive to begin with, it had dramatically changed over time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Queen\u2019s opinion of Meghan evolved, and it\u2019s much like how the country\u2019s opinion evolved,\u201d she told the outlet.<\/p>\n
