I\u2019ve learned how it\u2019s like to be around them, to be playing at a Premier League club in front of all the fans. It can be a little bit nervous, but you do get used to it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt gives me a lot of confidence for a manager to have trust in me and see my hard work and my ability. Now, I\u2019ve just got to show him what I can really do on the pitch. I\u2019m just going to show them all that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m taking it step-by-step, see what\u2019s happening, but hopefully I can get more appearances in the Premier League, and if not, I\u2019ll just be patient, wait for my turn and if my turn does come, I\u2019ll show everyone that I can do great things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mane got his chance in football at Rochdale after moving to England from his birthplace in Portugal at the age of nine.<\/p>\n<p>He then made the switch to Wolves in February 2024 before a quick rise into the first team, where he was handed his debut at Molineux in May.<\/p>\n<p>The teenager admits it has been a whirlwind few months, but he is ready to work hard for his opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/096397c2-6040-4369-a339-93426f81853e.JPG\"   alt=\"Mateus Mane signs his first professional contract with Wolves, aged 17 (Picture: Wolves)\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"w-full max-w-none\"\/>Mateus Mane signs his first professional contract with Wolves, aged 17 (Picture: Wolves)<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cA lot has happened in such a short period of time here. Since I came to Wolves, everything\u2019s happened so quick that, to be honest, sometimes when I look back, I\u2019m like, \u2018Wow, is this really happening?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo make my Wolves debut, now I\u2019ve got a professional contract, it\u2019s all happening and it\u2019s good times, but it\u2019s been at some pace as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think I\u2019ve adapted well. I come in every day and just keep working, keep going, and I think I\u2019ve been doing good.
