Some 760 people lost their lives in the Mediterranean in the first six months of this year, according to estimates from the <a href=\"https:\/\/missingmigrants.iom.int\/region\/mediterranean?region_incident=All&amp;route=All&amp;month=All&amp;incident_date%5Bmin%5D=2025-01-01&amp;incident_date%5Bmax%5D=2025-06-30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Organization for Migration<\/a>.
