Marc Dougherty, of Acorn Street in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/newton-le-willows\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Newton-le-Willows<\/a>, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court today, Thursday, July 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/man-accused-bigamy-after-las-31647906\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The 51-year-old first appeared<\/a> before <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/courts\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Liverpool Magistrates&#8217; Court<\/a> in May, when he pleaded not guilty to one count of bigamy relating to his marriage to a woman named Pamela Lewis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The wedding is understood to have taken place in Las Vegas on July 4 last year. It is alleged that Dougherty was already married at the time following an earlier wedding in Hull in 2006.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He pleaded not guilty to the count, which states that, on July 4 2024, he, &#8220;during the life of his wife, went through a form of marriage with Pamela Lewis&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">He appeared again today, July 10.
