ScotRail is encouraging Edinburgh<\/a> TRNSMT festival-goers to utilise public transport by adding extra carriages to their services this weekend.<\/p>\n

In addition to extra seating, the train operator will also be running late-night services<\/a> to help customers travel home from the three-day event.<\/p>\n

Mark Ilderton, ScotRail Service Delivery Director, said: \u201cTRNSMT is one of Scotland\u2019s biggest music events, and we\u2019re looking forward to playing our part in helping music fans get to and from Glasgow Green as smoothly as possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re adding extra carriages to trains throughout the weekend and operating additional late-night services on key routes to support travel home after the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur best advice is to plan ahead, buy your tickets before you travel, and leave plenty of time to get to the station, particularly after the festival ends each night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The gates at TRNSMT open at 12pm on Friday, July 11, Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13. Glasgow Green can be accessed from five stations, all within a 20-minute walk – Bridgeton, High Street, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, and Argyle Street station.<\/p>\n

After the festival, late-night services will be available from Glasgow Queen Street High Level and Edinburgh Waverley<\/a> via Falkirk High and Glasgow Queen Street Low Level and Edinburgh Waverley<\/a> via Bathgate.<\/p>\n

ScotRail is reminding customers to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and purchase tickets in advance via the their app, website, or at a self-service ticket machine to help make their journey as seamless as possible.<\/p>\n
