This weekend will see the return of one of Manchester’s biggest bands as Oasis finally come home <\/a>for the first of five massive shows. Part of their extensive world tour, Oasis Live ’25 heads to the city this Friday and Saturday night.<\/p>\n Following on from their huge opening shows in Cardiff last week, the Gallagher brothers are back on home turf as they prepare to wow fans who have awaited 16 years for the pair to appear back on stage together.<\/p>\n Prior to their opening shows in Cardiff, the last time Oasis played together was at V Festival in August 2009. The 19-song setlist included hits like Rock \u2018n\u2019 Roll Star and Wonderwall, and they concluded their last show with I Am The Walrus.<\/p>\n There’s been huge interest in the shows which were announced last August – two days before the 30th anniversary of their debut album Definitely Maybe.<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n It was the biggest concert launch ever seen in the UK and Ireland and attracted ten million fans desperate to secure their spot at some of the biggest music concerts in years.<\/p>\n Those attending the Manchester shows will be able to enter the park from 3pm. Cast will play at 6pm, followed by Richard Ashcroft at 7pm, and Oasis at 8:15pm. Curfew is 10:30pm.<\/p>\n Ahead of the much-anticipated Oasis hometown shows at Heaton Park<\/a>, Manchester this weekend, the event organisers have issued the a number of updates for ticket holders attending the first two events.<\/p>\n With a very hot weather forecast on both Friday and Saturday, one major rule has changed around bringing in water to Heaton Park on show days.<\/p>\n Prior to the forecast this week, which see highs of 30C and 31C on Friday and Saturday, the guidance was that fans were welcome to bring in an empty plastic bottle, to refill at one of the water stations.<\/p>\n However, it is now permitted that those attending are permitted to bring a sealed bottle of water up to 500ml.<\/p>\n Join our Oasis WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n This must be collapsible plastic. Solid plastic, metal etc containers will not be permitted on the grounds of safety.<\/p>\n Bottles with broken seals will be emptied, and there is free water to refill your bottle on site. There will also be water cups available from the welfare tent to use at the refill points.<\/p>\n Those attending are also being urged to wear sunscreen and will be permitted to bring in a small bottle of sun cream of 200ml or under.<\/p>\n Further guidance is to bring a hat, which for a Manchester crowd with a bucket hat or two to spare should be no problem.<\/p>\n Organisers are also expecting large crowds so are urging those attending to allow plenty of time to travel and arrive early.<\/p>\n Shuttle Buses from Lever Street in the Northern Quarter<\/a> will drive direct to Heaton Park, but are nearly sold out. Buses start from 13:30on, and people are advised to arrive early to avoid queues.<\/p>\n If there are tickets still available on show day these can be purchased in person on Lever Street. No online purchases will be available on show days.
