Merseyside Fire &amp; Rescue Service were called to Rake Lane in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/wallasey\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Wallasey<\/a> shortly before 6pm on Thursday, July 10.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Dramatic pictures shared with <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"the ECHOLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the ECHO<\/a> showed firefighters battling the flames before the fire was put out. Smoke can be seen billowing out from the rear end of the 410 <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/new-brighton\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">New Brighton<\/a> bus service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">An eyewitness described how the bus driver pulled over after smoke began emanating from the back of the bus. All passengers and the driver were out of the bus and uninjured, Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A fire service spokesperson said: &#8220;Merseyside Fire &amp; Rescue Service attended an incident on Rake Lane, Liscard, earlier this evening.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_Bus-fire-Wallasey.jpg\" alt=\"The fire appeared to start from the bus's engine\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>The fire appeared to start from the bus&#8217;s engine(Image: Timothy Abraham)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Crews were alerted at 17.58 and two fire engines were on scene at 18.02.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;Crews arrived to find a single decker bus with its engine well alight.
