A Tube train carriage, blurred, is still in the background of the well-lit station.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Since 2022, when the London Underground began its gradual roll-out of <strong>4G<\/strong> and <strong>5G<\/strong> mobile phone coverage on the Tube, we\u2019ve been treated to occasional, sporadic updates when stations and sections of tunnels have gone live. Us Secret Londoners eagerly watch out to see when our nearest station is finally connected (I\u2019m holding space for you, Stockwell northbound).<\/p>\n<p>This time, key sections of the Northern Line and a bit of the Victoria Line are being connected to the world above (to get phone signal, nothing philosophical, now). It\u2019ll be easier than ever to plan a <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_0\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>fun day out<\/strong><\/a> on the way to meet your friends.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Line\u2019s being switched on in the Bank branch tunnels between Euston and Bank, and in South London, from <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-balham\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-balham\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_1\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>Balham<\/strong><\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-wimbledon\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-wimbledon\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_2\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>South Wimbledon<\/strong><\/a>. Northern Line Stations Oval and Kennington have joined the pack, too. Tfl are working to extend Northern Line coverage straight through from Morden to Kennington, aiming for uninterrupted coverage on that section of the line by the end of this summer.<\/p>\n<p>On the Victoria Line, phone signal is being rolled-out between <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-vauxhall\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-vauxhall\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_3\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>Vauxhall<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-pimlico\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-pimlico\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_4\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>Pimlico<\/strong><\/a>. In the coming months, Tfl is working on connecting sections of our much-loved blue line from Green Park to <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-brixton\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-brixton\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_5\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>Brixton<\/strong><\/a>, plus major interchange stations like Green Park and <a href=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-kings-cross\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_self\" class=\"shortcode-outbound-link\" data-has-ga=\"true\" data-ga-type=\"click\" data-label=\"https:\/\/secretldn.com\/things-to-do-in-kings-cross\/\" data-action=\"text_cta_6\" data-category=\"click_internal\"><strong>King\u2019s Cross St Pancras<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> <img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-298779\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"A modified London Underground tube map titled &quot;Tube map showing below ground 4G and 5G coverage&quot; as of July 2025. Tfl\u2019s efforts to give passengers mobile coverage across the entire Tube network (Tube, Overground, DLR) will keep going through this year and next.
