Sheffield Wednesday have received a positive update regarding a potential takeover of the club this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dejphon Chansiri\u2019s tenure at Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> looks set to come to its end following a disastrous summer in charge of the Championship club.<\/p>\n

With players set to walk after handing in their 15-day notice due to their contracts not being fulfilled, partnered with staff not receiving their pay, Sheffield Wednesday\u2019s<\/a> situation has received criticism, all of which is aimed in Chansiri\u2019s direction.<\/p>\n

After what has been a difficult period for Sheffield Wednesday, with the club receiving three transfer embargoes, the positive news has begun to appear. Danny Rohl is set to stay at Sheffield Wednesday<\/a>, alongside assistant Henrik Pedersen, amid a feeling that a takeover of the club can be completed within the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

The most recent update once again sees a huge hurdle jumped, with the end goal of Sheffield Wednesday being sold looking far more likely now.<\/p>\n

Per Rob Staton on X, it has been revealed that an \u2018agreement has been reached with at least one prospective buyer for Sheffield Wednesday\u2019.<\/p>\n

It is suggested that \u2018one buyer has signed\u2019 documents to take over the club, and whilst Staton stresses that the deal is not yet done, he makes it clear that \u2018the process is moving\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday have a number of interested parties keen to take over from Dejphon Chansiri, with John Textor reportedly one name linked to a consortium<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the turmoil that the club have been put through this summer, especially with the staff whose lives have been put on pause amid missed payments, the solution seemed to be the sale of Sheffield Wednesday. Whilst that has not quite been reached, talks have never been this progressed towards what now feels inevitable.<\/p>\n

Dejphon Chansiri started his tenure at Sheffield Wednesday in positive fashion, but ultimately, relegation to League One and Covid seemingly hampered his abilities to oversee progress at the club, which has led to Danny Rohl having to perform miracles to keep the club up in the Championship.<\/p>\n

Sheffield Wednesday ultimately have been treading water in the last few years of the Chansiri reign, and whilst it could have gone drastically worse under his stewardship, for the best of the club, his time in S6 will soon come to an end.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
