Clay McLeod Chapman\u2019s<\/strong> novel Ghost Eaters <\/strong>is headed to the screen with a movie adaptation from director Maggie Levin<\/strong> (My Valentine), The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> informs us today.<\/p>\n

Maggie Levin will write and direct Ghost Eaters, with Scott Derrickson<\/strong> (The Black Phone 2) on board to produce the upcoming adaptation of McLeod Chapman\u2019s acclaimed novel.<\/p>\n

Scott Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill and Vince Cheng will develop and produce through their label Crooked Highway. Ghost Eaters is being adapted for the screen by Screen Gems.<\/p>\n

In Ghost Eaters, \u201cErin hasn\u2019t been able to set a single boundary with her charismatic but reckless college ex-boyfriend, Silas. When he asks her to bail him out of rehab\u2014again\u2014she knows she needs to cut him off. But days after he gets out, Silas turns up dead of an overdose in their hometown of Richmond, Virginia, and Erin\u2019s world falls apart.<\/p>\n
