Some Oasis fans have reportedly been turned away from Heaton Park after trying to jump the fences. Pictures from outside the park show a heavy police presence following the earlier rush.<\/p>\n
A dispersal order is currently in place around Heaton Park<\/a> and the surrounding areas. The order gives constables and police community support officers the power to disperse crowds and prevent nuisance.<\/p>\n Officers can ask people to leave and not return to defined areas covered by the order.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> said the order would start on Friday and be in place until 2am tomorrow, Saturday, July 12. The order is in place for Heaton Park and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n Stay connected with our City Life newsletter <\/strong>here<\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The force said that while there is no immediate risk, safety is the \u2018main priority\u2019.<\/p>\n Reporter Chris Slater, who is outside Heaton Park talking to fans, said: “An eyewitness has told me that just before Oasis came on stage around 50 people tried to \u2018rush\u2019 one of the internal entrances to the gig area. They said around 10 appeared to get in but the rest were apprehended and turned away.”<\/p>\n In images from the scene, one man was seen handcuffed as an officer escorts him away and another carries a ladder. Another image shows a line of officers outside a number of entrances to stop ticketless fans from entering the gig area.<\/p>\n Tonight sees the first of the Manchester gigs, and whilst thousands party inside Heaton Park, plenty have taken to their back garden to enjoy the tunes.<\/p>\n One user wrote: \u201cHow many people near Heaton park be out in gardens listening to oasis tonight lucky t**ts. can hear from Failsworth<\/a> but sh**e.\u201d<\/p>\n Posting onto X, journalist Angela Epstein said: \u201cI can hear every [note] of oasis from my back garden and didn\u2019t pay a penny. They\u2019re singing hello and the crowd are going nuts.\u201d<\/p>\n One user wrote: \u201cSat in the back garden and can hear the build up to oasis heaton park.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll be there Wednesday, 50 min walk from my house.<\/p>\n “Free concert tonight!
