The Script, Wet Leg, Schoolboy Q, Twin Atlantic and Jamie Webster are all set to take to the stage today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">It was taps off weather for many while other music lovers dressed in hot pants, day glow shorts, bikini tops and the lightest of T-shirts to keep hydrated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">As sunscreen was slapped on, and people basked in the heat, the day kicked off with Scots upcoming talent Calum Bowie. On stage he admitted he was \u2018roastin\u2019 as he opened the festival ahead of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/trnsmt\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">James Bay<\/a> who got the crowd chorusing on hits including Let It Go and Hold Back The River.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_AMP_SDR_110725_TRNSMT_00014_copy.jpg\" alt=\"Fan arrived from noon today for the festival\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Fan arrived from noon today for the festival(Image: Alasdair MacLeod\/Daily Record)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The King Tuts tent, which will see headliners Confidence Man, a replacement for Kneecap who were removed from the line-up amidst safety concerns, welcomed The Royston Club and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/trnsmt\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Good Neighbours<\/a> to the stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Openers Remember Monday sang an impromptu happy birthday to singer Lauren Byrne on stage, while <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/trnsmt\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Arthur Hill<\/a> made a brief appearance in the photo booth on site, surprising festival goers early doors by having his picture with them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Scots rapper Bemz was looking forward to his headline slot on the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/bbc\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a> Introducing stage, while Nimini couldn\u2019t wait to get everyone dancing as the final act on the Radio 1 Stage.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_TRNSMT-festival.jpg\" alt=\"Revellers watch James Bay perform on stage at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Revellers watch James Bay perform on stage at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow(Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Amongst those who enjoyed the fun were Archie, Lucas Ewan and Scott Brown from Castlemilk and<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/east-kilbride\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> East Kilbride.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Archie said: \u201cThis is my first time here and I can&#8217;t wait to see Jamie Webster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Scott added: \u201cWe\u2019re here to see Jamie Webster and 50 Cent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_AMP_SDR_110725_TRNSMT_00007_copy.jpg\" alt=\"Fans descended on Trnsmt for day one\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Fans descended on Trnsmt for day one(Image: Alasdair MacLeod\/Daily Record)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Lucas said: \u201dThis is my third time here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Maya Adair, 18, from Glenrothes was at the festival with a group of friends including Lewis Roy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Lewis said: &#8220;We&#8217;re here to see 50 Cent. He\u2019s getting older and we hope that getting older keeps him sane.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Maya said: &#8220;I met Arthur Hill before in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/trnsmt\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Germany<\/a>, but I\u2019ve I just met him at the photo booth too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Olivia Black and her friends from Ardrossan added: \u201cWe are here for 50 Cent, James Bay and The Script.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1752287659_57_0_TRNSMT-festival.jpg\" alt=\"James Bay performs on stage at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>James Bay performs on stage at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.(Image: PA)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Faces may have been red and the sweat was rolling down backs but everyone loved the fact it was a scorcher for day one of a three day festival which will also see Biffy Clyro, Fontaines D.C., <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyrecord.co.uk\/all-about\/snow-patrol\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Snow Patrol <\/a>and Gracie Abrams take to the stage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Adam Wray, 23, from Pollok, and Alannah Rennie, 22, Pollokshaws were enjoying the VIP area in between set.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Adam said: \u201cWe\u2019re here to see the big man The last time I was here was six year ago and it\u2019s definitely different. I got VIP this time and it\u2019s a lot more chill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Alannah added: \u201cI like it but I\u2019m too warm. We\u2019re going to hide from the sun under the Scotland flag. We\u2019re here for Fifty Cent and The Script. You can\u2019t wrong with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Jordan McGovern, 31, Glasgow and Laura McLeod, 38, from Glasgow said: \u201cWe\u2019re here to see The Script and Fifty Cent. That\u2019s what we bought tickets for. It\u2019s nice but too hot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Laura added: \u201cWe got here early and we are hydrating with Smirnoff. Rab said: \u201cWe are here to see fifty cent. Andy added: \u201cIm just back from Spain so am used to the heat. And Josh said: \u201cIt\u2019s fifty cent and Jamie Webster were here to see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Jess Maygog, 18, Sunderland and her friend Amelia Woods, 18, also from Sunderland were enjoying their first time at TRNSMT.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Jess said: \u201cWe\u2019re here to see Fontaines tomorrow and Jamie Webster today. It\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Amelia added: \u201cIt\u2019s out first time at TRNSMT. It\u2019ll become a yearly tradition now.
