Coronation Street star Andy Whyment revealed he met his ‘idol’ at Oasis\u2019 first Heaton Park<\/a> show, thanks to one of his famous friends.<\/p>\n

The Kirk Sutherland actor was one of many famous faces in attendance for Liam and Noel Gallagher\u2019s first Manchester gig<\/a> since back in 2009.<\/p>\n

80,000 people managed to get tickets for the first of the group\u2019s five shows at Heaton Park, with many opting to wear bucket hats amid the roasting conditions.<\/p>\n

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola<\/a> and his daughter Maria were there to belt out tunes such as Wonderwall, Live Forever and Champagne Supernova.<\/p>\n

A host of stars from ITV<\/a>\u2019s flagship soap were also there, including Bethany Platt actress Lucy Fallon and Amy Barlow\u2019s Elle Mulvaney.<\/p>\n

Wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts, Andy was joined<\/a> at the show by his wife Nicola Willis, who he tied the knot to in 2007.<\/p>\n

It turned out to be a busy night for Andy as he managed to get a snap with none other than Noel, who cut a cool figure hours before going on stage.<\/p>\n

On top of this, Andy met Manchester City and England midfielder Jack Grealish<\/a>, who he got a wholesome selfie with.<\/p>\n

Taking to his Instagram account after a night he\u2019ll never forget, Andy revealed it was Happy Monday\u2019s star Shaun Ryder who got him the tickets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He captioned his post: \u201c@oasis are my favourite band and last night at Heaton Park I got to meet my idol Noel Gallagher.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t thank my mate @shaunryderx enough for getting us friends and family passes, I\u2019ve seen Oasis a couple of times before but last night was a real pinch myself moment for me and @nicski31.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve got tickets you\u2019re in for a treat they sound amazing. OASIS ARE BACK!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Andy and Shaun have remained close friends since taking part in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2010, a year which saw Stacey Soloman<\/a> crowned Queen of the jungle.<\/p>\n

The comments section of Andy\u2019s post saw his famous friends and fans rushing to congratulate him on meeting one of his idols.<\/p>\n

Jack Grealish said: \u201cWhat a man you are.\u201d Sophie Webster actress Brooke Vincent added: \u201cLOVE THIS FOR YOU.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eva Price\u2019s Catherine Tyldesley wrote: \u201cBuzzing for you – I know how much that will have meant to you. What an opportunity!\u201d Colson Smith stated : \u201cYou have the best life ever.\u201d<\/p>\n
