READ MORE:<\/b> Shock as rats scuttle about in Birmingham park in broad daylight<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Birmingham crime boss behind multi-million pound drugs network is jailed<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n The latest pile of trash on the road, which is regularly blighted by yobs dumping rubbish, was highlighted by Javed Iqbal, of the Alum Rock Community Forum.<\/p>\n birmingham<\/a>-city-council>Birmingham City Council<\/a> has pledged to catch up with those who think they can dump with impunity.<\/p>\n Another view of the Tarry Road dumping -Credit:Nick Wilkinson\/Birmingham Live<\/p>\n Mr Iqbal said: “The rampant dumping and fly-tipping of household rubbish on our streets is a reprehensible act that reflects a blatant disregard for our community by a few scum bags who have no care for their live.<\/p>\n “This is a city-wide issue which has been ongoing for many years.<\/p>\n “Those responsible must be held accountable and face stringent penalties, including hefty fines and sentences, to serve as a deterrent to others. Our city is facing a crisis due to the ongoing bin strikes, which have persisted for six months and pose a significant health hazard to residents.<\/p>\n “It is imperative this issue is resolved promptly to restore our city’s former glory and ensure a safe and healthy environment for its inhabitants.”<\/p>\n City bins boss Coun Majid Mahmood said: \u201cWe know fly-tipping on Tarry Road in Alum Rock is a concern.<\/p>\n “We are working with local councillors and waste enforcement officers to identify the root cause of the problems and to tackle the issue. Fly-tipping harms where we all have to live and work and is carried out by environmental criminals that have no regard for our neighbourhoods or their well-being.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen fly-tipping occurs, we act as quickly as possible. Our crews clear hundreds of fly-tipping reports each week; this is in addition to the work our neighbourhood crews undertake to clean up across the city.<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone needs to play their part in maintaining a clean environment. We have plenty of lawful options for people to responsibly dispose of waste or unwanted items.
