Parton allegedly declined Markle\u2019s invitation after the \u201cI Will Always Love You\u2019 legend chose not to participate in her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer team was livid,\u201d said celebrity commentator Kinsey Schofield on the podcast The Nerve with Maureen Callahan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause no, they don\u2019t want to risk Dolly\u2019s reputation Q score [and] her popularity by associating with Meghan Markle,\u201d Schofield claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey knew that this ask was just to give Meghan Markle credibility in this lifestyle space, a space that Dolly does have a lot of credibility in,\u201d she added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Schofield highlighted Parton\u2019s remarkable success not only in the country music industry but also as a lifestyle icon, celebrated for her diverse range of baking mixes and beauty products.<\/p>\n

\u201cDolly is not only incredibly popular and loved by the general public, but she also is somebody who can float around within these different places,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Callahan pulled no punches, calling Parton \u201cauthentic\u201d and saying it would have been \u201cspontaneous combustion of good versus evil\u201d if she had appeared with \u201ca fake royal\u201d in her \u201cfake kitchen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018With Love, Meghan\u2019 Production Push Back at Alleged Beef Bewteen Markle and Parton <\/p>\n

However, those close to the production of With Love, Meghan pushed back against the claims. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis story is false,\u201d a spokesperson for production insisted to Page Six<\/a>. \u201cAt no point did anybody from the show\u2019s production or Netflix approach Dolly Parton or her team to appear on With Love, Meghan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markle\u2019s lifestyle series debuted on Netflix in March and was promptly renewed for a second season.
