8<\/p>\n Wynne Evans, pictured alongside dance partner Katya Jones, has launched a dramatic fightback against BBC bossesCredit: PA 8<\/p>\n Investigators have been sent a video where Katya Jones explicitly clears Wynne over the ‘gropegate’ scandalCredit: Supplied<\/p>\n It includes video and screenshots which the opera singer\u2019s pals insist prove he is not guilty of making an inappropriate sexual comment.<\/a><\/p>\n Investigators have also been sent a video – which the BBC itself suppressed – where dance partner Katya Jones<\/a>, 35, explicitly clears him over the \u201cgropegate\u201d scandal.<\/a><\/p>\n Friends of the Welshman \u2014 who was suspended from the Strictly live tour<\/a> \u2014 believe the Beeb have an agenda against him.<\/p>\n By contrast, they said Go Compare – whose adverts propelled him to fame – is standing by him.<\/p>\n It comes after the BBC battled a barrage of bad publicity over pro dancer Giovanni Pernice\u2019s<\/a> alleged bad behaviour<\/a> on the ballroom dance show the series before.<\/p>\n Last night a friend said: \u201cThese past few months have been absolutely torrid for Wynne. He has had his name dragged through the mud.<\/p>\n \u201cHe feels he\u2019s been thrown under a bus and left to fend for himself.\u201d<\/p>\n 8<\/p>\n Audio evidence has been submitted from a video showing Wynne, Jamie Borthwick and Janette ManraraCredit: Supplied 8<\/p>\n Wynne was overheard saying ‘spitroast’ at the live tour launch, apparently about Strictly dancer Janette ManraraCredit: Supplied 8<\/p>\n Friends have said there is a ‘very different context’ to the original leaked videoCredit: Supplied<\/p>\n However, they insisted there is \u201ca very different context\u201d to the original leaked video, in which Wynne was overheard saying \u201cspitroast\u201d<\/a> at the live tour launch, apparently about Strictly dancer Janette Manrara<\/a>.<\/p>\n The friend went on: \u201cWynne\u2019s team have had the clip sent off to a cyber forensics team which has come back with a word nobody had previously picked up on before; they believe it changes everything.<\/p>\n \u201cIn it, he can be heard saying \u2018old spitroast boy\u2019 to Jamie Borthwick<\/a>. It may seem like semantics, but the \u2018old\u2019 and the \u2018boy\u2019 proves he was addressing Jamie and NOT making a crude sexual remark about Janette, as originally thought.<\/p>\n Fresh Strictly scandal as Jamie Borthwick & Wynne Evans blasted by BBC over shocking SEX TOY vid filmed in dressing room<\/p>\n \u201cThis is apparently a reference to Jamie putting his legs above his head, and looking like a spitroast chicken. It\u2019s as simple as that.<\/p>\n \u201cHe also has supportive messages from various pros including both Janette and Aljaz Skorjanec<\/a>, her husband, saying they back him 100 per cent.\u201d<\/p>\n In one message seen by The Sun, Janette<\/a> expressed concern for his wellbeing, saying: \u201cWynne please know you DO NOT need to worry about me for a second.<\/p>\n “Look after yourself and try to focus on the mind staying calm. Deep breaths and one hour at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n She sent it on January 25, a day before the original \u201cspitroast\u201d story<\/a> broke. It was after the BBC had been approached for comment, and those involved were made aware.<\/p>\n Wynne first came under pressure last year after footage showed him putting his hands around Katya\u2019s waist<\/a> on Strictly before she batted them away.<\/p>\n He then tried to high-10 her only for her to snub him. So tonight we said we\u2019d mess around.\u201d<\/p>\n Wynne continues: \u201cWe said, \u2018Ah, I\u2019ll put my hand on your waist and you pretend to move it away.\u2019 And now everybody thinks I\u2019m a weirdo! But really, I promise you I\u2019m not!\u201d<\/p>\n Another friend said BBC bosses got wind of the video and instructed Wynne not to post it – something they now apparently realise was a huge mistake.<\/p>\n His friends have had to rally around him because he\u2019s just a normal bloke, one who loves and respects women.<\/p>\n Wynne’s friend<\/p><\/blockquote>\n They went on: \u201cIf Katya and Wynne<\/a> had been allowed to clear it up immediately it would have just gone away.
