Mateo Joseph, with the Spaniard looking at the bigger picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/tag\/daniel-farke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel Farke<\/a> currently has two striker options this summer, and it has been confirmed that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/what-leeds-united-are-planning-after-completing-lukas-nmecha-deal-as-striker-lands-in-england\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds will sign another striker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This will leave <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/tag\/mateo-joseph\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joseph<\/a> questioning his status in the squad, as there is no doubt the 21-year-old struggled for game time last campaign.<\/p>\n<p>He still contributed when he could to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds<\/a>, but just 11 league starts last season doesn\u2019t exactly represent him in good light.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/news\/daniel-farke-admits-leeds-united-player-failed-to-take-chance-against-millwall-during-fa-cup-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Farke admitted Joseph failed to take chances<\/a> when they were given to him, which has led to the striker ultimately searching for the exit door, and one club have been hot on his radar.<\/p>\n<p><img down the youngster\u2019s signature for a while is Real Betis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/new-mateo-joseph-claim-made-after-real-betis-10m-bid-was-rejected-by-leeds-united\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Betis had a \u00a310m bid rejected by Leeds<\/a>, but now the Spanish outfit are trying again.<\/p>\n<p>This will be partly down to his success for Spain U21s, where he shone in the EURO U21 tournament this summer, alongside go back to Spain<\/a>, and Betis is the club trying to make it happen, as Leeds are proving to be tricky.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been claimed that the Whites have been stubborn as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/leeds-united-reject-6-9m-bid-for-elland-road-star-with-big-future-even-though-he-wants-move\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds rejected \u00a36.9m for Joseph<\/a>, with \u00a38.5m the figure now wanted, despite rejecting a \u00a310m figure in the winter.<\/p>\n<p>Well, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eldesmarque.com\/futbol\/real-betis\/20250712\/el-betis-mantiene-viva-la-opcio%5B%E2%80%A6%5D-mateo-joseph-el-preferido-para-la-delantera_300713177.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">El Desmarque<\/a> are reporting on Joseph\u2019s situation, but this time Leeds aren\u2019t causing the problems with Betis proving to be their own downfall.<\/p>\n<p>They explain that Joseph is very much the main target for Betis to bolster their forward line, and they are keeping \u2018talks alive\u2019 with Leeds for him. <\/p>\n<p>However, the roadblock in this deal is Betis striker Borja Iglesias, whose salary blocks an incoming for the time being.<\/p>\n<p>Iglesias, who signed for \u00a324m in 2019, is set to be the striker replaced by Joseph, but it\u2019s been made clear this will be Betis\u2019 final push\u2019 for the Leeds youngster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE: <a would be quite shocking if Joseph wasn\u2019t sold this summer.<\/p>\n<p>The striker is currently the third-choice striker, but his status will slip once again if another forward is signed, giving Joseph a clear answer to leave.<\/p>\n<p>Not only will this benefit the player, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/mateo-joseph-sale-could-give-leeds-united-42-5m-to-spend-on-new-signings-as-psr-cheat-code-revealed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joseph\u2019s sale can help Leeds\u2019 PSR<\/a> with an extra \u00a342.5m soon to become available.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an unfortunate ending for a striker who has shown plenty of promise, as Leeds could regret his permanent exit.<\/p>\n<p>But if the Whites want to push on, this is the only way forward in making sure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/club\/owner\/\"
