{"id":259896,"date":"2025-07-12T21:04:15","date_gmt":"2025-07-12T21:04:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/259896\/"},"modified":"2025-07-12T21:04:15","modified_gmt":"2025-07-12T21:04:15","slug":"highlands-records-hottest-day-of-the-year-so-far-in-scotland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/259896\/","title":{"rendered":"Highlands records hottest day of the year so far in Scotland"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Aviemore was the hottest place in Scotland today as the village notched up the highest temperature recorded in Scotland so far this year.<\/p>\n<p>The mercury reached a sweltering 32.2C at around 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>BBC weather reported that it was the seventh time since 1961 that Scotland has reached 32C.<\/p>\n<p>Aviemore left many of Europe\u2019s holiday hotspots in the shade including Barcelona (27C), Tenerife (29C), Alcudia (31C), Venice (25C) and the Algarve (27C).<\/p>\n<p>It was the hottest day of the year so far across much of the UK with Cardiff\u2019s Bute Park taking top spot with 33.1C.<\/p>\n<p>The hot weather is to continue tomorrow with Aviemore expected to reach 29C tomorrow around 4pm. Inverness is expected to hit 23C.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures are due to return to seasonal summer norms on Monday and rain and thunderstorms forecast for the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>    Do you want to respond to this article?
